Their journey through 1900s Africa pits them against hostile tribes, deadly traps and a rival German explorer, all in pursuit of unimaginable treasure. King Solomon’s Mines is a wild, uneven ride through jungle adventure tropes. While it lacks the polish and coherence of its Hollywood inspirations, it delivers campy thrills, eccentric villains and enough absurdity to earn cult status among fans of retro action. Best enjoyed with a sense of irony and a love for ‘80s excess.
