I seen this last night for the first time. Incredible movie, using comedy to show the true absurdity of war is perfect in my book. The direction and acting was on point and Roman, what a brilliant young actor! My only issue was the soundtrack but it's just a small thing really. Can't wait to watch this again.

Terrible, boring, dull. Just a terrible film. Why do people make such rubbish. I guess they were going for quirky, but in the end it was quite lame.

Taika Waititi’s JoJo Rabbit is a daring blend of satire, heart, and humanity. Set during World War II, the film follows young JoJo, a boy indoctrinated by Nazi ideology, whose imaginary friend happens to be a comically absurd version of Hitler. What could have been a risky premise becomes a poignant exploration of innocence, prejudice, and compassion. The script balances biting humor with genuine emotion, allowing audiences to laugh at the absurdity of hate while confronting its devastating consequences. Roman Griffin Davis delivers a remarkable performance as JoJo, supported by Scarlett Johansson’s tender portrayal of his mother and Thomasin McKenzie’s quietly powerful role as Elsa. Waititi’s direction ensures the story never loses sight of hope, even in darkness. By the end, JoJo Rabbit leaves viewers with both tears and smiles, proving that love and kindness can outshine cruelty. It’s bold, moving, and unforgettable.

A WW2 comedy, is that even appropriate? I don’t know, but I can’t think of another movie that depicts the absurdity of racism better than JoJo.

Surprisingly light hearted dark comedy. Waititi made another hit. Perfect casting. McKenzie and Davis especially. Cheeky in the right ways.

I don't often care much for movies that minimize and are dismissive of hard-line points of view - within Nazism obviously falls - simply because I find them reductive and useless more often than not, but Jojo Rabbit is an great film that I don't mind that aspect of in the slightest. The ending is especially poignant, with the quote by Rilke which reads, "Let everything happen to you; beauty and terror. Just keep going, no feeling is final." Absolutely in awe of this movie.

A very unique take on WW2, from the perspective of a kid. Mixes drama and comedy brilliantly. An instant classic.

It’s a cute movie in between a cruel and brutal context. Touching since the beginning and through the perspective of a very kind kid.

Hate is definitely something learned, though Jojo Rabbit's template could've been applied to any oppressive regime's history. Since it's filed next to the hundreds of other WWII/anti-Nazi films of similar sentiment, there are a few sprinkles of dark humor to make it a little more memorable. It's a solid film that simply doesn't take any chances.

Terrible. So terrible. It would bore me to try and write any more about it. Avoid.
