- carter28825 de febrero de 2026It Follows is a huge disappointment and not worth the hype. The film does have a really cool concept that is kind of wasted in this film. The cast is also really good in this film with them playing likeable characters. There are some really creative shots as well. And the score is incredible and might just be one of the greatest horror scores of all time. The film also does drag for me a lot and really pulls you out of the film. Another problem I have is that the movie really goes nowhere and is kind of a waste of time. But my biggest issue with this movie is all the disgusting imagery that absolutely makes the film 10 times worse. So overall a mediocre film that could have been great but instead wasted on it with some really disgusting imagery.

This disjointed sense of time adds to the film’s otherworldly, unsettling tone, keeping viewers constantly off-balance. The relentless “follower” itself is a masterclass in horror simplicity, taking on ordinary yet eerie human forms that make its presence all the more disturbing. The slow, inevitable nature of its approach creates an almost unbearable tension, heightened by the pulsating, retro synth score from Disasterpeace. That’s It Follows in a nutshell: sleep with the wrong person and suddenly a creepy, slow-walking figure in grandma’s nightgown is always on your tail. The synth soundtrack pounds like a fever, the camera makes you paranoid, and the whole thing plays like the scariest “wrap it up” PSA ever made. Stylish, creepy, and like herpes… it never goes away.
