    Folk horror at its best. Bleak, uncompromising, menacing, measured and scary. Beautifully shot exteriors of the wild landscape and the constant whining wind never mives from a claustrophobicexperience.. Let down by the implausible casting of a black physician for North Wales, although a minor part, at the time of the start of the industrial revolution. Why? Every shot is an album cover. A really unique film.
