Greenland: El último refugio Ratings & Reviews
- Karin e Borishace 16 hQuite distressing (and desirable).
- jackmeat4 de abril de 2025My quick rating - 6.6/10. I personally enjoyed this one a lot. It was a good use of coincidence and bringing something that is plausible to occur. I also believe there are black spots like this now and ready to be used if need be. Who knows. Gerald Butler is the father who is doing everything he can to get his family to safety when an apocalyptic event is on its way. And when this meteor hits the Earth, it is all over unless you are chosen to be filtered into these bunkers to rebuild the planet after the annihilation. This movie focuses on getting there at all costs and avoiding everyone who is NOT chosen as well. Overall, it was just really well done, from scenes and locations to camera work, down to the individual characters they meet along the way. It definitely would've done well at the box office as it had all you would need for a semi-successful flick. Check it out when you get a chance; you would be let down.

- BEAULONEA17 de febrero de 2026Holy cow, talk about an overwhelming feeling of despair. Greenland does an effective job of capturing just how fragile everything feels when faced with a global catastrophe. I shouldn't be, but I’m always struck by how quickly society unravels in these stories, and this film doesn’t shy away from the chaos. I enjoyed it, even if there were a few story beats that didn’t quite land for me. Some moments felt a little forced or convenient, but the emotional weight carried most of the film. It’s depressing to think something like this could edge toward reality, but that grounded fear is also what makes it so gripping.
- Tyler Campbell21 de enero de 2026The US ceded interest in Greenland officially, on paper, in the Treaty of The Danish West Indies in 1917, giving up any claim to the country and accepting Danish sovereignty over it, in exchange for what is now the US Virgin Islands.. Oh sorry, that's not what this movie is about. Greenland, the movie, is a decent end-of-the-world flick with Gerard Butler. A large comet is coming toward earth and everyone has been anxiously awaiting its benign atmospheric break up. Except that the government, for the first time in history, has lied to its people. The comet is actually going to destroy most life on the planet and only some have been chosen to get to a bunker 🤷 It's not a massive absurd action flick like 2012 with John Cusack driving a limousine over an actively crumbling city during tectonic disintegration. So don't go in expecting that. Greenland does a great job in the first half, drawing on the dread and panic that would happen in the event of an extinction level event. Although action is present, it focuses more on the human components. For me, it lost its steam somewhere along the way. But it's still worth a watch. The child is a pretty bad actor and was some okay accidental comedic relief as a result. I was happy to see Greenland 2 has the kid from Jojo Rabbit replacing him. I'll check it out.
- Big Hulky11 de febrero de 2026Midland. { Spoilers Below } Basically, nothing happens. The Garrity family gets picked for bunkers in Greenland, and as they're about to get on the plane their son says he NEEDS his oh-so-comfy blanky, and obviously that's WAY more important than their lives, so the father (John) heads back to their vehicle to get it. In this time: 1. The Garrity family gets separated. 2. The kid gets abducted. 3. The abduction takes Alison back to the airport. 4. They leave for their father-in-law's house (as a location to meet up with John). 5. They go to an airfield for unauthorized extraction. And then you notice the movie is 80% over. Some other diarrhoea: 1. The Garrity family ends up in Greenland (which hasn't been destroyed at all yet), the second we see it, it gets hit with a comet for dramatic effect. 2. Nathan says "My friend Teddy says 'your life flashes in front of your eyes when you die'", so we get a flashback of John's life with Alison as the thicc comet boi lands on the surface. The movie just throws predictable scenes at you over, and over.
- Dan Dease26 de diciembre de 2025Good movie. Wasn’t over the top with special effects and Doomsday. Made you think about some things. Definitely worth a watch. Looking forward to the sequel.
- seankirkhouse8 de febrero de 2026Intense and great story
- Patrick Wai21 de diciembre de 2025The movie was better the first time around. With Greenland 2 coming out soon decided to re-watch this. For some reason just couldn't really get into it - there was just no emotional connection with the characters. I don't think casting Gerard Butler was the right choice... he just seems a little unhinged, as if he can blow at any time. It's always fun to see how the Director shows the end of the world.
- Lynne1 de febrero de 2026This movie caught me be surprise. It is packed with unexpected thrills.
- Marshall Moore8 de febrero de 2026Very good movie
- Walter Jospeh Kovacs5 de febrero de 2026The film serves as poignant metaphor for the collapse of American society. The comet crashing into Earth represents the moral cleansing of the vacuous evil that is US fascism masquerading as corporate greed. Greenland represents the last refuge of humanity's dignity, a haven to be exploited by Americans unable to escape the tyrannical mindset of settler-colonialism. The insulin is a reminder of diabetes, the modern scourge of fat and greedy Americans. The wristwatch that the father wears helps him tell the time and the plane, helps people get places quicker than by land.
- garysalter7 de febrero de 2026Very good. I hope 2 is good too.
- Coouge1 de febrero de 2026They feel special, until they’re not, then they got lucky until the end.
