It feels like a movie that you would like if you saw it in theaters but falls down on rewatch, what I mean is that it feels like a typical and not very special movie. It’s packed with cliches, some are fine and some are just hard to tolerate. While the esthetics look pretty decent, some of the cgi is throwing me off. It has it’s moments but it’s pretty mediocre in my opinion, but it works if you just want some fun
- Phineas10 de julio de 2025One of the most forgotten amazing movies of the 2010s. I don't understand why it doesn't get more recognition. It adapts the books faithfully, Jack Black is at some of his best, Dylan Minnette was in the mid 2010s peak of his career, and the movie is just overall a GREAT watch, especially around Halloween. We don't talk about its sequel.
