I'm definitely not their target audience. But I like the story. Just wanted more funny songs. Always dramatic tracks.

Disney’s Frozen II proves that patience pays off, delivering a sequel that feels both fresh and purposeful. Rather than rushing to capitalize on the success of the original, the studio took time to craft a story that expands the world of Arendelle while deepening its mythology. The film explores Elsa’s origins and introduces new lands and cultures, broadening the scope of the narrative without losing the heart of the sisterly bond at its core. Humor remains sharp, with self-aware moments that cleverly poke fun at the franchise itself, while the musical score shines with variety—embracing different genres and offering memorable songs that rival the first film’s soundtrack. Visually, the animation is breathtaking, with lush forests, mystical spirits, and dazzling elemental effects. Frozen II succeeds as both a continuation and evolution, balancing adventure, emotion, and spectacle in a way that feels truly magical.

Frozen 2 had its moments – the animation was stunning, the songs were catchy (if a little less memorable than the first), and Elsa's new powers were pretty cool. However, I have to be honest, one thing really stuck out to me and, frankly, chilled me to the bone: Olaf's sartorial choices. Or, rather, his distinct lack thereof. Now, I understand he's a snowman. But throughout the entire film, my mind kept drifting back to the glaring absence of trousers. He has arms, a nose, even buttons! So why no pants? It just seemed like a missed opportunity for character development. Was it a conscious fashion statement? A protest against the oppressive sartorial norms of Arendelle? We'll never know, and that's a disappointment. Beyond the pant-less enigma, the plot felt a bit convoluted at times, and I found myself missing some of the simpler charm of the original. Still, it's a visually impressive film with some good emotional beats. Just... someone get that snowman some trousers, please. Three stars.

This sequel is a huge step up from the original. Frozen 2 delivers a more complex, relevant story with powerful nature-vs.-humanity themes. Elsa goes full badass with her new powers, the animation is absolutely next-level, and Olaf is three times funnier. Best of all, there's less singing to kill the pace. It's a genuinely enjoyable, visually stunning adventure that finally makes this a movie for everyone, not just the kids. If you were bored by Frozen 1, give this one a shot.

Meh. Could have been better. Music also didn’t hit like the first one.
