Un refugiado afgano acepta contar su historia personal con la condición de que no se revele su identidad. Para lograr tal propósito, el director decide emplear un estilo de animación que no sólo protege al narrador, sino que potencia su historia, combinando el tiempo y la memoria de forma visceral y poética.

    Flee is an incredibly moving story of the plight of one Afghan refugee. Amin Nawabi recounts his his personal experiences, in some cases, for the first time ever. The animation works well to fill out the visual medium in what would otherwise, be an in-depth podcast. In that way, I don’t think the animation adds much to Amin’s story, but it certainly doesn’t detract from it either. Emotionally moving and a stark reminder that sometimes freedom comes at an immeasurable cost.
