La cita Ratings & Reviews
- Michael Harrison11 de abril de 2025I had a blast with this movie and the wait wasn't a disappointment. Meghann Fahy was amazing in this and I hope she gets more movies. She was my favourite in 'The Bold Type'. A quick and fun movie with some amazing one liners.
- ebd32118 de mayo de 2025I ran out of disbelief to suspend. I normally love a good over the top and unrealistic plot, but this was just a stupid movie. Save your time.
- Burnharm11 de abril de 2026Drop (2025) is a tricky one. I did not think the script was very good, and some of the acting felt a bit flat, but it still managed to hold my attention until the end. It is not a great film, but there is something about it that keeps you watching.
- Ddoughnut14 de mayo de 2025Oh my gosh, so many scenes in this movie sent chills down my spine. Absolutely loved this movie, great underrated thriller.
- nyespace24 de noviembre de 2025"that was shit" - us when this ended
- parcolan16 de mayo de 2025Beginning is fine and from middle to the end completely fake
- Allie Tran2 de mayo de 2025A suspenseful movie you can turn on after a long day without thinking too hard. Although there were some eye roll corny moments, I found myself unable to turn away as the events unfolded before my eyes, becoming gradually more suspenseful throughout with a satisfying ending.
- Hipster ZOMBIE18 de mayo de 2025Known for his genre-blending prowess in films like Happy Death Day and Freaky, Director Christopher Landon brings his signature style once again — but this time with an even darker twist. This is a thriller for Gen Z. At its core, Drop is a tightly wound thriller with a tension-filled script that keeps the audience guessing until the final moments. From the opening scene, the film sets a mood of uneasy paranoia, dropping (pun fully intended) subtle clues and red herrings like breadcrumbs through a digital minefield. Characters are constantly thrown into morally murky situations, and Landon amplifies the suspense by playing with silence, sudden shifts in tone, and claustrophobic camerawork that keeps viewers on edge. The way the film focuses on the main protagonist is beautifully shot whenever she has to make a questionable choice or put her son’s life at risk. The cinematography depicts just how truly she is alone in this situation despite being in a restaurant full of people. Rather than feeling like a gimmick, the meme culture is cleverly woven into the film’s narrative, used as a modern storytelling device and even a plot point. It reflects the way people cope with fear and chaos in the digital age, bringing a refreshing, self-aware energy to the film. Bonus points for using the Undertaker/AJ Styles Meme Landon! The cast delivers across the board, fully leaning into the film’s mix of fear and farce. Reactions to escalating danger are played with both authenticity and comedic exaggeration, which only heightens the emotional payoff when things take darker turns. While some horror purists might feel the comedy dilutes the dread, Drop never loses sight of its thriller roots. It’s a film that thrives in unpredictability — dropping laughs and scares in equal measure. Overall a fun thriller worth checking out.
- sadmuppet5 de mayo de 2025I had hope when I saw the trailer, but that diminished pretty quickly soon into the movie and the longer it went on, the bigger problems sat with me. I'm not sure if we're conditioned to either being smart to things (such as the opening when is it happening in the past or a sign of things to come), certain irrelevant things being too obvious as important or quite simply, the mechanics not actually being anywhere near realistic. I won't fault the actors as ultimately its the story that falls apart from either things being not realistic due to being impossible or the dots you have to connect to get your heroine to be in the situation they're in. At least it's short.
- Daniel Gustavsson9 de julio de 2025I really like the premise of this and looked forward to seeing what they would do with it. Sadly, it falls flat in almost every department. The acting is bad, the situation is silly and the resolution is very dumb.
- wgunn16 de marzo de 2026just didn't need the scene where she fell out the window, just too much, not believable
- gerglet21 de septiembre de 2025Trash cheesy movie, mediocre at best at the start, shit by the ending
- MinusV2015 de septiembre de 2025Drop is a frustrating, missed opportunity. It proves that Landon’s clever genre-blending magic has its limits, crumbling when applied to a world that demands more gravitas. A clumsy, unsatisfying, and ultimately rather tragic misfire.
- gilligan500010 de febrero de 2026Believable? Absolutely not. Entertaining? 100% As with any whodunnit I don’t know how rewatchable this is, but it’s still worthy of a watch the first time through.
- Nishant Arora17 de junio de 2025A tight, modern-day thriller with a killer premise, *Drop* turns a first date into a high-stakes game of survival. The film uses the familiar anxiety of smartphone notifications to create a genuinely tense and fast-paced whodunnit that is both fun and thrilling. The Good: Director Christopher Landon, known for *Happy Death Day*, brings his signature style, crafting a sharp, efficient, and suspenseful ride. The film is anchored by a fantastic and grounded lead performance from Meghann Fahy, who convincingly portrays a mother pushed to the edge. The central mystery is cleverly constructed, using its single-location setting to maximize paranoia and keep everyone guessing. The Bad: The plot, while entertaining, relies heavily on the audience's suspension of disbelief, with some technological aspects feeling contrived. The third act, including the ultimate reveal of the antagonist, doesn't quite live up to the nail-biting tension of the setup. Furthermore, some of the stylistic choices for displaying the on-screen threats can occasionally feel more distracting than immersive. *Drop* is a creative and nerve-jangling thriller that makes for a perfect, edge-of-your-seat movie night, even if its logic doesn't always hold up to scrutiny.
