My quick rating - 6.4/10. I hadn't seen this one before and I chose the wrong flick to attempt to work through. So I ditched the job and got wrapped up in this mystery/thriller starring a very underappreciated Danny Glover. He plays a retired physicist who had previously been a part of the Manhattan Project and returns to his family home after 30 years. While he is there, he begins getting strange feelings of deja vu that seemingly end up playing out actual events shortly before they happen. Bruce Greenwood plays the local law officer and old friend who is trying to make sense of his visions, either being some reality or if his buddy is losing his mind. The whole thing leads to a pretty intriguing scenario of what-ifs developing that really keep the tension. My only real gripe here is that the "is he nuts" or not card is played entirely too many times and gets very redundant. But beyond that, the whole thing is a really nice indie surprise that tells a captivating tale of loss. The characters are all fleshed out well, and each has defined layers to who they are and why. If you are into a bit of the supernatural without it being overboard, I am sure you will enjoy this one. Glad I finally got around to watching this one.
