Dead Man Ratings & Reviews
- Mister Arn16 de mayo de 2025"Dead Man" offers a surreal and existential journey through the West, guided by the enigmatic character Nobody. The film's haunting soundtrack and black-and-white cinematography create a dreamlike atmosphere. Its unique approach makes it a compelling and worthwhile watch.
- wolsk018 de enero de 2026Still a great watch
- photosma17 de noviembre de 2025If you're in the mood for an acid western film, especially one with a grand cast featuring John Hurt, Iggy Pop, Lance Henriksen, Billy Bob Thornton, and Michael Wincott, you won't be disappointed. Poetic and abstract combined together, along with music by Neil Young!
- Frances Kelly3 de octubre de 2025This is by far one of the best and funniest movies that’s also one of a kind!
- Desmond Dale24 de enero de 2025Jim's style is hyper concentrated here with all of his trademarks and signatures all over it. It's a black n white film with high contrast and lots of wide angles so you can really breathe in the environment and ambiance which is at times nearly as fascinating as the center of focus. What I love about Dead Man is that it's a deep movie and it's also incredibly simplistic as well. It's an adventure film centered around a psychedelic trip with the end in clear view and yet despite its morbid fatalistic plot the film ends up feeling breezy and largely comedic. It's kind of like a western version of Easy Rider. The ending is both bittersweet and serene, beautiful.
- edward quin15 de marzo de 2025An exquisitely formed vision that elicits the tragic absurdity of the western genocide. Gary Farmer as Nobody is as compelling and as unforgettable as Falstaff. The whole cast and their comings and goings are as fascinating as Shakespeare would have made them and all of it made sublime by the soundtrack. The best Western ever made.
- Hgmvhf3 de noviembre de 2025Jarmusch thinks he's good at things. He isn't. Still he's making movies in a genre I like, so I appreciate that.
- Aaron Slade24 de abril de 2025When Johnny Depp was in his prime, before selling his soul to Disney devil. Dead Man is essentially an art house western, with a layering of effect driven guitar drones. I for one hope Depp goes back to smaller, better material he did all throughout the 90s
