Just made it to 4 stars bc of the novel ending in theaters Some great slapstick! Can’t decide if it belongs in Slapstick Fantastic or not. Weigh in on the comments, Quaids! Or should I say, hit us in the tittus?

“professor plum, you were once a professor of psychiatry specializing in helping paranoid and homicidal lunatics suffering from delusions of grandeur.” “yes, but now i work for the united nations.” “so your work has not changed.” today was absolutely abysmal. needed a laugh.

“Yes, just the five. Husbands should be like Kleenex: soft, strong, and disposable.” - Mrs. White Not to many comedies made with a complete cast this good. 🗡 🗝🚪

Clue. What an absolute delight. This had me cracking up like a Mel Brooks movie. Watching Christopher Lloyd be a sex pest is the best thing since sliced bread.

Clue is a brilliantly witty and chaotic masterpiece! The cast is phenomenal—Tim Curry steals every scene with his sharp timing and hilarious energy. The rapid-fire dialogue, clever twists, and multiple endings make it endlessly rewatchable. It’s the perfect blend of mystery, comedy, and absurd fun. A true cult classic that never gets old!

Super goofy, fast-paced, and just fun to watch. The jokes come flying, the cast hams it up in the best way, and Tim Curry absolutely steals the show. It’s not perfect, but it’s a great time if you just want something silly and chaotic.

Few comedies from the 1980s have held up as well as Clue. What could have easily been a gimmick based on a board game instead turned into one of the smartest, funniest ensemble mysteries ever made. Decades later, the film has only grown sharper, funnier, and more beloved with time. The cast is nothing short of perfect. Tim Curry leads the charge as the manic, fast-talking butler Wadsworth, delivering a performance so full of energy and wit that it defines the film’s pace. Eileen Brennan, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, and Michael McKean all bring their characters to life with impeccable comedic timing and distinct personality. Every actor knows exactly what kind of movie they’re in—a sharp, self-aware farce that celebrates and mocks the murder mystery genre at the same time. Madeline Kahn, in particular, steals scenes with her deadpan delivery (“Flames… on the side of my face”), while Curry’s third-act sprint through the entire plot remains one of the funniest sequences in comedy history. The production design is another standout. The mansion set is lavish, atmospheric, and perfectly suited for the escalating chaos that unfolds in every room. The lighting, costumes, and pacing give the film the feel of a stage play brought to life, adding to its timeless charm. That’s what makes Clue so special—it ages beautifully. The jokes still land, the performances still sparkle, and the mystery, complete with its clever multiple endings, feels just as fresh as it did in 1985. It’s the rare comedy that improves with every viewing, revealing new details and layers of humor each time. In short, Clue isn’t just a cult classic; it’s a masterclass in ensemble comedy. Every character, every line, and every absurd twist works together perfectly. Like a great mystery, it only gets better the more you revisit it.
