Directed by the guy that did the classic Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies, written by Cornell Woolrich the most noir of pulp writers, and stars slap-happy Dan Duryea and little man Peter Lorre. Add and mix and you have a nasty low-stakes top-shelf noir.
