Where to Watch Barrabás
- Charles London6 de mayo de 2025Generally speaking, an okay popcorn flick that features good cinematography and set design, as well as a memorable gladiator scene in the film's final half hour. Be aware that this biblical epic is only "according to scripture" in the opening scenes as little is known or written about the man called Barabbas. The story mostly comes from a 1950 novel by the same name which paints him as a non-believer struggling to believe, a man with a blessed ability to avert his death but a cursed inability to preserve his freedom. Fun Fact: The crucifixion scene (at Calvary) was filmed in Italy during an actual total eclipse of the sun, on February 15, 1961.
