Where to Watch Depredador dominante
- Guy Petershace 5 dDirector Baltasar Kormákur has long mastered the art of pitting human grit against unforgiving landscapes, but with Apex (2026), he delivers something far more intimate and unsettling. Melding a brutal survival thriller with a deeply layered psychological drama, the film transforms the vast, stunning expanses of the Australian wilderness into a claustrophobic arena of grief and terror. The story follows Sasha (Charlize Theron), a traumatized rock climber processing the tragic loss of her husband. Seeking solace in isolation, she instead crosses paths with Ben (Taron Egerton), a local whose initially eccentric, charismatic facade quickly slips away to reveal a calculating, sadistic predator. What follows is not a standard cat-and-mouse chase, but a haunting, white-knuckle chess match. Kormákur brilliantly frames their conflict as an extension of Sasha’s internal battle; she isn't just fighting to escape a madman, she is fighting the paralyzing weight of her own survivor's guilt. Visually, the film is an absolute triumph. Cinematographer Lawrence Sher captures the raw, majestic beauty of New South Wales, from rushing white-water rapids to towering canyon walls, with breathtaking clarity. Yet, Kormákur juxtaposes this beautiful scenery against a genuinely macabre narrative twist that shifts the film into borderline horror territory. Theron delivers a fiercely physical and emotionally raw performance, matched step-for-step by Egerton, who plays completely against type with an unhinged, deeply magnetic malevolence. The climax elegantly folds back into the film's opening motifs, forcing Sasha to literally and figuratively conquer her past to survive her present. Evocative, beautifully shot, and anchored by exceptional performances, Apex stands out as a lean, hauntingly effective thriller that lingers long after the credits roll.
- Maluhawk25 de abril de 2026Okay so we watched this in the middle of the night with the lights off and my wife basically glued herself to my arm the whole time — that's how you know it's good. The plot is pretty simple: woman goes on a trip to Australia to clear her head, ends up getting hunted by a serial killer instead. Rough vacation. Charlize Theron is awesome in it and Taron Egerton plays a super creepy villain which was honestly unexpected. Some of the CGI is pretty obvious and the characters make some really dumb choices — like, stop climbing mountains, people, that's literally how you get into this mess. Bottom line: It's suspenseful, it's fun, and it'll make you never want to go hiking again. Watch it.
- vegaspyder23 de mayo de 2026I enjoyed this movie. Taron is awesome. Charlize did an ok job, but she is not too believable as an adrenaline addicted outdoorsy chick when she looks like a 120 lb gangly vegan, who is also a little too old. It just took me out of the immersion sometimes. Like... my middle aged aunt wouldn't be climbing that mountain... my aunt definitely wouldn't be solo white water rafting....
- Kieran Giles14 de mayo de 2026A michelin star turd sandwich. Opening and closing scenes like artisan sourdough, encapsulating a storyline curled out by a dog. It's like two directors were writing two different movies with a separate antagonist and protagonist. Worst part is that it would have worked if they tied the plot and character motivations to the opening scenes.
- JAMES LOST30 de abril de 2026Theron grieves, Egerton hunts, the Blue Mountains do the heavy lifting. Lawrence Sher shoots the Troll Wall like a love letter, then Kormákur edits it like he’s afraid of his own footage: frantic cuts, suffocating close-ups and every wide shot abandoned before it earns anything. Theron does her own stunts; the camera refuses to trust her body. In my opinion: Alone (2020) did this with a fraction of the budget and ten times the nerve. So for me it’s a Netflix slop with a great DP and nowhere to put him.
