While it may be marketed as a horror movie, true fans of the genre should be advised that it operates far more as a psychological thriller and drama. Once I shifted my expectations, I was able to appreciate the film for what it is. The movie is good, but it has the potential to be great. I believe it would have benefited from more dedicated screen time exploring the characters' backstories and internal struggles. The central plot twist, while effective, is one that many viewers—especially avid moviegoers—will likely see coming. Instead of building suspense toward a single reveal, the film could have deepened its emotional impact by delving further into the psychological trauma of the main character and the dynamics between the cast. The ending, however, is a strong point. Once I fully understood the film's intent, the final moments resonated and created a sense of empathy for the protagonist. While the film may not be for everyone, I would recommend it to those willing to watch it on its own terms. I give Alma and the Wolf a solid 3/5.

- HalcyonS22 de junio de 2025Well, the effects and lighting had some major issues, the story itself was interesting and I thought the twist at the end was handled well. Well. I definitely recommend it but go in knowing that it's not an expensive movie.
- ricomckee22 de junio de 2025Embry gives a performance unlike anything he has done before. He is a rather capable actor and does a really good job. The film continues recent films that explore the emotional turmoil and trauma men can experience due to loneliness and other life factors that they are supposed to “man up” over. This one has a twist that I won’t spoil but the twist is pretty easily seen. The movie was engaging and the performances pleasing. Bridget budget, some script revisions, and few other tweaks and it could have been a movie that had more impact. Still, seeing Embry in a role not his norm… good stuff!
