2012 Ratings & Reviews
- SALVO GERMANY1 de marzo de 20262012 is cinematic chaos at full volume — and I mean that as a compliment. Directed by Roland Emmerich, this is destruction without apology. Cities collapse, the earth cracks open, entire civilizations fall apart — and somehow it never loses rhythm. It’s not subtle. It’s not minimalist. It’s maximalist spectacle executed with confidence. What I love about 2012 is its commitment. It doesn’t hesitate. It doesn’t slow down to look smart. It goes all in. As someone who lives by structure and intensity — in training, in music, in life — I respect that kind of full-send mentality. When the world is ending, this movie doesn’t jog. It sprints. Visually, it’s massive. The set pieces are still impressive, and the scale feels genuinely global. Emotionally? It keeps things simple: survival, family, instinct. Nothing overcomplicated — just forward motion. Is it realistic? Not really. Is it over the top? Absolutely. But that’s the point. When I want pure disaster energy, something that shakes the room like a peak-time drop in a DJ set, this is my go-to. Big risks. Big visuals. Big impact. The Disciplined Raver 🎧💪
- john adams26 de febrero de 2026Switch your brain off and enjoy the ride, still an average run of the mill disaster fest but not the worst i have seen
- Terry Phan26 de febrero de 2026Absolute action packed of a movie, it's great and just outstanding, some people may say that the character development and plot are weak and some people stay for the disasters but in me I find a great balance in between the 2. To set the record straight the first 40 minutes so are plot introductions and development saying stuff about Earth Crust Displacement Theory and getting to know the characters etc. but after all that's over the real disasters start to happen. I got to say it starts off very intense and the scene where the family attempts to escape will surprise you and guarantee that you'll be glued to the screen, this scene is if not one of the most highlighted scenes in the entire film. And after that there will be plenty of more to see, we also get some plot developments leading up to China but everything is laid out well and doesn't leave too much time between disasters and humans (not at the end). Well yeah all I gotta say that it's great that we have a disaster movie that is funded and made by big studios (Columbia, Sony) and not some cheap garbage that'll end up on Tubi or Freevee in a couple of weeks and will not even get a Blu-ray or DVD release.
- Krystyna Haywood17 de enero de 2026Always an enjoyable film to return to, my favourite part being when Tamara gives the finger to Yuri.. justice served…
- shirazesat29 de diciembre de 2025Gripping stuff. Silly at times (especially when those that put so many lives at risk are seen as heroes) but this is all fun stuff
- Boko6 de noviembre de 2025Starting to become a cult classic, this movie keeps the action going though there is a few parts where it's slow. Still it's a good story. One of my favs.
- kingguile25 de febrero de 2025Amazing movie lot of good actors
- Nathan Magreta3 de noviembre de 2025There is a lot, trust me, a lot, to hate about this movie. It's more of a spectacle than an intelligent film. Still, it has heart and some absolutely insane silly blockbuster fun that makes it a good film.
- DoggesAndCattes10 de abril de 2025A disaster movie or a disaster of a movie? Turn your brain off and prepare enough popcorn and soda for 2.5 hours of peak visual destruction of humanity.
- Alexis Godin18 de febrero de 2025Classic disaster movie, you wait for the big downfall and then the movie is kinda boring...
- sixx8428 de octubre de 2025Amazing special effects. Story starts ok but drops off quite badly. Would watch again.
- Blake Singleton17 de octubre de 2025Bad but in the best way. 2012 isn’t a movie that takes itself seriously. It’s all about how ridiculous the director can make things. Even down to the cringy moments where a character says something like “It feels like something is always tearing us apart.” Then the floor cracks in two, literally separating them. Like, WUT? Hilarious. 9/10
- wipeout63010 de octubre de 2025Arguably the best apocalypse movie that's ever been created. It's an easy rewatch.
- Laxus3317 de agosto de 2025Great Movie
- GBWest14 de junio de 2025I have questions, and the most important is... When did A.I. become an end of the world action drama starring John Kusack as Noah searching for a secret ark? How long is this movie? No. It never ends. Who didn't see the step-dad biting the big one for being a good guy? Me! Me! Pick me! *Crushed unnecessarily in an oversized gear* The whole Earth is collapsing everywhere except in the place where you land the plane? The whole Earth is collapsing and the government spaceships that are actually Arks for floating on water will save the human race? China is the new ACME. China isn't collapsing as much as it is a danger for floating vessels? No real aircraft carriers were harmed in the making of this movie. What idiot thought that this was a prediction of things to come in the year 2012? Written in 2025. Did anyone believe anyone would watch this movie more than once? I'm out. Was it better than any movies that audiences have waited a long time to happen? Yes, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. And no, Ghostbusters Afterlife. Conclusion: Hammy said it best in Over The Hedge, "It never ends this way too."
