Try it for yourself, and I bet you’ll find it pretty intriguing. Mike Judge does fantastic work, as always (found out he was involved after I started watching it).

As a huge fan of fungi and mycology and a proud tortoise owner. It's a real bonus. Huge fan of Mike Judge. Well done everyone and huge hit for adult swim, best show since Primal.

I like adult cartoons but mostly when they are mindless and funny and you don’t have to follow along that hard but I decided to give this a try anyways. It was very good. The storyline was complex and really well thought out. It was funny and strange and kept me interested.

- Ish_au19 May 2025I really like this show, it feels new, and we dont get new very often. The animation style is bohemian, kooky and shows so much style and unique flavour. The music choices really lift what could be a very sterile subject. Voice delivery is varied and fits perfectly within the animation style. There are references to big pharma practices, drug culture and enviromental preservation that somehow don't bog down the show with seriousness thanks to the off-kilter humour that doesn't force its way in, nor outstays its welcome.

Each time I try to take a guess at what might happen next, this show manages to twist its story in a way I wouldn't have expected. The animation is weirdly gorgeous, the music is surprisingly good, and overall, this is one of the most refreshingly unique shows I've seen. This show feels as unique and groundbreaking as Breaking Bad or Avatar: The Last Airbender were when they came out, I'm definitely looking forward to another season of it.
