The Boondock Saints Ratings & Reviews
- Daniel Gustavsson12 October 2024Epic and amazing movie. Both funny and intense. There are so much memorable moments in this.
- ayayron6 April 2025And Shepherds we shall be For Thee.... in nomine Patri, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.
- Hipster ZOMBIE4 April 2025Troy Duffy’s Boondock Saints is one of the last truly great masculine action comedies of the 20th century. The film is bloody, unapologetic, ballsy, and a true love letter to vigilante justice. Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery breathe life into Connor and Murphy, their bond as brothers stronger than steel and laced with humor, heart, and holy vengeance. And then there’s Willem Dafoe—utterly unhinged, brilliant, and unforgettable as FBI agent Paul Smecker. He dances on the line between genius and madness like no one else could. The film is soaked in stylized violence, Tarantino-esque flashbacks, and a hauntingly epic soundtrack that gives each gunfight a kind of poetic finality. The jokes and social commentary would make most ultra sensitive woke generation of today wet their pants and reach in anger for their keyboards….
- Chris29 December 2024If you are looking classic style acting or an emotional breathtaking film, please stop reading and move on nothing to see here! This is a great low budget cheesy action film. Was the acting great (no), was Oscar worthy (no)...This is a simple movie with a simple plot. However it is well worth the time. Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus and Willem Dafoe work very well together. This film takes nothing serious, but it works. Dafoe character seems one that he was born to play (an over the top over acted peace of brilliance).
- VeedddeeR19 May 2025Certified hood classics
- beadon123 January 2026Always an epic romp.
- Jerry L. Arp II8 March 2025Its an adventure!
- Braden21 March 2025"Where you going? NOWHERE!" The Boondocks Saints is a quintessential movie for a certain subset of young men. However, that does not mean it is a GOOD movie whatsoever. I revisit The Boondocks Saints every St. Patricks day. This year's take away - Norman Reedus is just so young here. The only truly redeemable quality of this movie is Willem Dafoe's performance as FBI Agent Paul Smecker. Everything else is peak-edge, which at one point in my life I really enjoyed. Once you take off the rose-tinted glasses, you'll realize that The Boondocks Saints just doesn't hold up. I'll still be watching it next year, though.
- Corwin027 November 2025Brilliant
- CarbonDJ4 November 2025Cult classic. Willem Dafoe is perfection. My favorite role of his. The rest of the cast nails it. I can't quite explain what makes it so great. You can tell the influence of Tarantino. Tough to believe that Duffy only went on to do the sequel and never tried anything else.
- Peter Bickford21 September 2025The most charming and unpreposessing action shoot-em-up you're ever likely to see, with winning performances all around.
- jennifermadison64029 August 2025Great flick
- EL JEFE14 August 2025Amazing
- mickerdoo28 June 2025Saints make vigilantism cool. Righteous killing by two foul-mouthed Irishmen. Leads, Rocco and Dafoe are top notch. Love storytelling order.
- Tubz24 June 2025Violent, not pretty and definitely not PC woke, Dafoe gives a great performance as a homophobic gay FBI agent.
