- Paul Walsh30 March 2026This film is simply one of the finest horror movies ever made. The movie was a brilliant satire of the horror genre while being a damn fine horror movie at the same time. Ghostface is suitably brutal and the opening sequence is iconic. It is simply a sublime watch.
- Nathan Magreta23 March 2026It's A nice, simple slasher movie with none of the exaggerated parts from other big slasher franchises like Friday the 13th, for example
- mickerdoo19 March 2026Enjoyed it but I watched Scary Movie before I watched this so it was a little tainted for me. Love teen-ness of it all.
- Selina5 April 2025Actually had my heart pounding with the dramatic sounds made it worse 😭

- ርልዪረ8 October 2025Plot: The quiet town of Woodsboro is shaken when a masked killer known as Ghostface begins targeting high school students. Sidney Prescott, a teenage girl still traumatized by her mother’s murder a year earlier, becomes the main target. The film follows Sidney and her friends as they try to survive while unraveling the killer’s identity. Strengths: Clever & Self-Aware: Satirizes slasher film clichés while still delivering genuine suspense and scares. Iconic Villain: Ghostface is chilling, mysterious, and memorable, with clever use of a voice-modulated phone call. Strong Cast: Neve Campbell (Sidney), Courteney Cox, and David Arquette give strong, memorable performances. Suspense & Pacing: Builds tension masterfully, with well-timed jump scares and red herrings. Wes Craven’s Direction: Skillfully balances horror, humor, and meta-commentary. Weaknesses: Some Gore is Minimal: Compared to other 90s slashers, the gore is relatively restrained. Predictable for Horror Buffs: Viewers familiar with slasher tropes may guess certain twists, though the film plays with these expectations. Overall: Scream (1996) is a revolutionary slasher that revitalized the genre. It’s clever, suspenseful, and self-aware, combining horror, humor, and mystery. Ghostface remains one of the most iconic villains in horror cinema.
- Troy1 March 2026Watched again in 2026 and 30 years later it still held up, classic 90s film
- Ajay17 February 2026Great classic slasher film - the one that started it all. Ghostface is a pretty well done antagonist, and it harkens back to the days of older horror movies. Only gripe though, is that Ghostface isn't of supernatural roots like the others, and that leaves you wanting a bit more.
