Dokja was an average office worker whose sole interest was reading his favorite web novel 'Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.' But when the novel suddenly becomes reality, he is the only person who knows how the world will end. Armed with this realization, Dokja uses his understanding to change the course of the story, and the world, as he knows it.

Better than your average marvel-movie. Joke aside, i thought the animations were really well done for a live adaption and a non marvel; i knew the story from the mangwa. following the plot should be easy if you know isekai-genre-animes. i liked the sci-fi , the inscenation and the gamification. overall i also found it was well acted in light of the highpaced action that left minimal space for character development (which i remember is part of the original story, since the events happen one after another). enjoyed it thorougly, was sucked into the world, the storyline, liked all the chars and really hope they decide to shoot the sequels.

The movie is not everyone. As one reviewer noted, it's a mixture of Train to Busan, Squid Games, and Hunger Games. Actually the comparison is unfair - the Director wasn't trying to remake or even mimic any of those films. Omniscient Reader is basically a life-action manga movie but with a nod to anyone who's enjoys DnD or RPGs. How often when you were playing any of those games did you wonder what it would be like if you yourself become one of the characters? This story explores that, and in a very clever way. I would give the film 5/10 if compared to something like Train to Busan or Snowpiercer. But interpreted as the Director wanted it: a solid 9. Having your life suddenly turned into a video game? Priceless.

OK So I keep seeing people compare this to other Korean movies but you really can't do that cause its not like any of them. If anything this is just like Solo Leveling ( The Anime ) It follows the same troupes as that Web series does minus the people being tied to 1 skill/level. This is a great Action/RPG movie. I really hope they choose to continue it. The action is on point and the acting/chars are really well done.

If you're into videogame rpg's and enjoy fantasy action/adventure movies you'll probably enjoy this. I'm not familiar with the material it's based on so it didn't alter my enjoyment of the movie.

Really good RPG adventure movie. Not sure the low IMDB scores. Those reviewers must not get the genre.

The movie is good, even though it skips many parts. In my opinion, the adaptation of the manhwa of the same name is well done. Hope they do the next part soon.
