Lawless
Directed by John HillcoatIn 1931, the Bondurant brothers of Franklin County, Virginia, run a multipurpose backwoods establishment that hides their true business — bootlegging. The story follows 3 moonshining brothers with their myths and realities of the violence and mental intimacy of family and friends during this violent era of our countries past. Also looks into the corruption of the folks who were supposed to uphold the law. A Nick Cave always violent screenplay. Music to the movie fits for the times which nothing is worse than modern music in a period piece.
