Highlander Ratings & Reviews
- Ensamhetens-biograf2 February 2025Classical movie! Just love it!
- falter024 May 2025Why can't we make these really good bad movies anymore? Does that make any sense at all? It's late. I'm bored and sleep deprived. Love you Lamby Lambert.
- Chris C2 days agoMy memory of this movie was significantly better than it ended up being on a re-watch. For people who have supposedly lived centuries or millennia, they're all truly terrible swordsmen. Lambert has all the charisma of a cardboard box and most of the others are no more than two-dimensional caricatures of actual characters. Clancy Brown plays The Kurgan with gleeful outrageousness, but that's not enough to carry the movie. While the premise itself is great (if not full of logical holes, but we can ignore those for a movie) and the music is excellent—with Queen lending some real hits to it—that's not sufficient to rescue a movie that just really is not executed (pardon the pun) very well.
- Tyler S5 March 2026👍👍 8/10
- stubblef62 August 2025The best of all the " Highlander" movies.
- Recordedsnake20 December 2025Highlander is a cult classic that blends fantasy, action, and myth into a truly memorable film. Its story of immortals battling across centuries is both epic and surprisingly emotional, with strong performances from Christopher Lambert and a scene stealing Sean Connery. Paired with Queen’s iconic soundtrack, it’s bold, atmospheric, and unforgettable, because... "There can be only one!"
- Cubane8 December 2025My Scottish relatives tell me this is a documentary, but all the stars are suspiciously more geriatric than they were in the movie. Except Sean Connery? I guess he's the real highlander.
- bradparrott10 November 2025As lame as the special effects seem in the modern day, and how annoying the constant screaming and grunting are, this movie still gives an incredible sense of nostalgia of my younger years. Will definitely put it on my watchlist again in another ten years.
- MechaJayZilla13 July 2025An 80s classic. Hoping the remake does it justice.
- Mairi Krausse14 November 2025Wonderful movie with a good lesson at the end.
- Sarah J16 July 2025UPDATE: I just found out the guy who plays The Kurgan is also the voice of Mr. Krabs, and I am SHOOK The 80s was a WILD time for movies
- Rob MacKinnon27 June 2025So Sean Connery, a Scottish actor, plays a character named Ramírez who is Egyptian but speaks with a Scottish accent that mentors a Scottish Highlander named MacLeod played by Christopher Lambert, a French actor, who speaks with a questionable Scottish accent. That tracks.
- pepe_993 June 2025This movie didn’t age well
- hairydemon19 April 2025what a load of shite. No let me be more specific. It has maybe one of the worst soundtracks ever made. It reminded me how much I hated Queen growing up. And then the camerawork, acting and awful editing has not helped this film age well. Amazing what one sees as a child. I loved this film. Wish I had left it as a memory. But I suspect it will make a brilliant remake with Chad Stahelski directing. He is brilliant!
