From Hell Ratings & Reviews
- Zokkiie7 days agoThis is a dark, moody take on the Jack the Ripper story. Johnny Depp and Heather Graham give solid performances, and the Victorian London setting is grimy and atmospheric. The film’s slow burn and heavy focus on mystery and gore might not be for everyone, but it’s gripping if you like crime thrillers with a horror edge.
- pipanni8 November 2025A very interesting and convincing theory about the identity of Jack The Ripper. Johnny Depp is excellent, as usual, and the story and dialogues are very good. The pacing is a bit slow and there are a few continuity errors: the coach driver's (Ned) ear keeps alternating between normal and maimed. But all in all it's a very good movie and by far the best about the Whitechappel murders.
- Nathan31 October 2025Saw this years ago when we owned a video store. After rewatching many years later, I have a newly found appreciation for it. Some clunky acting is a bit weird at times, but the story was interesting and the visuals and overall feel is pretty good. Good story and Depp is pretty decent in it.
