Bicentennial Man Ratings & Reviews
- Pete Dews8 April 2026This movie was poorly received upon release, and that's a shame. It's a family-friendly interpretation of an Isaac Asimov story- something that sounds difficult, but plays out effortlessly on the screen. Robin Williams delivers an absolutely stunning performance as Andrew Martin, with Embeth Davidtz and Sam Neill playing some of the most genuinely charming and postive characters I have ever seen put to film. The entire story is heartwarming, and a bit heartwrenching at times. It's appropriate for general audiences, and kids will adore it, but be warned you may be in (happy) tears by the end scene if you find yourself invested in the narrative. I love this movie, and it may just be my favorite of all time... Definitely worth a watch!
- Mike Lyons23 June 2025A modern take on Pinocchio. Robin Williams, casting off his manic brand of comedy, shines in a more serious role as Andrew, an android who breaks free of his programming and spends two centuries in pursuit of what it means to be human. Funny at times, but it is ultimately a beautiful exploration of human strengths and frailties. Well worth watching, and the James Horner score is the icing on the proverbial cake.

- Damecambridge19 October 2025Weirdly only found this movie about 5 years ago - even though it stars one of the biggest names in the industry of that time. And like his other movies Robin Williams is at his best.
- cubano1122 January 2025A great story. Loved it.
- Scott Seifert27 January 2026I think this is a really underrated film that really needs to have a second life. It is a bit slow and it is too long, but it’s really good.
- DonkeyFlix1 January 2026There are a lot of great films that tackle the theme of “what does it even really mean to BE human”. This one belabors that question for over 2 hours, but it can’t provide an interesting answer.
- Jakeys24 December 2025I really liked this movie as a kid, but it's a bit plodding rewatching as an adult. Lot of heart though, Robin Williams is great as always.
