Alien Ratings & Reviews
- Desmond Dale24 January 2025Just the perfect horror and possibly my favorite Sci-Fi film ever. The pacing is masterful. Ridley stretches out each kill to its furthest point of tension. The biomechanical designs by Geiger are impossibly detailed and intricate. And it's just a film that has a slightly slow start but never steps crescendoing until it's very last minute.
- The Gutter Monkey23 February 2025We get Sigourney Weaver running around with a flameflower in the world's tiniest pair of panties. Need I say more?
- Eric Bakke5 November 2024It’s a relentless, claustrophobic horror that mixes science fiction with pure terror. Once it gets cooking, almost every frame is soaked in tension.
- Doc Worm5 days agoA tense tale of exploitation and survival with some of the most gorgeous set design in all of cinematic history. Perhaps the whole ‘guy in a suit plays the alien’ might come across as silly and dated to some but it’s worth looking through all the quiet moments of tension. A score that sits and swells, shadow and light aim to direct and confuse. These all play together so well in the purpose that dreaded unknown is what is coming for you and all hope is lost. Alien is more than a slasher film in space. It’s an unparalleled triumph for its time that defied modern and classic conventions to create a truly unique vision on horror that plays with imagination in a way that it is truly timeless.
- Humpty20 February 2025DON'T LAY YOUR BABIES IN ME!
- mickerdoo12 November 2025Incredibly made in '79. The sets are incredible. Great camera work and editing. Some effects haven't aged as well. Inventive monster.
- hungrypretzel30 April 2026Fantastic movie. Had seen bits of it here and there many times on tv throughout my life, but finally watched it properly a couple of years ago. It blew me away. How did they do this in 1979?!
- Mazz26 May 2025One of the perfect movies of all time
- thompa029 April 2026Best sci-fi movie ever!!
- Jordan Jones20 April 2026Ridley Scott's Alien is the equivalent of John Carpenters The Thing but in space instead there's nowhere to go....no escape and has that feeling of isolation about it. While James Cameron's Aliens is bigger in scale and has a lot more action....Alien is the more scary and is the one that has the more atmosphere. Just imagine for a minute being trapped millions of miles in space on a spacecraft with a Xenermorph on board....that would be beyond terrifying and Ridley Scott really used the setting & the visuals to enhance that feeling of vulnerability. Alien was so ahead of its time and the whole production design & visuals still hold up today. Alien is the very best Sci-Fi horror ever made a 💯 And finally my Ratings/Scores for Alien 1979 is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & a 10/10
- mentazm8 April 2026A true sci-fi classic
- Carson Cardoza8 September 2025This movie rocked but I really wish there were more than 1 alien in it.
- Zoran Miljković17 November 2025This film has created a new subgenre. There are endless copies of this film. This is a true masterpiece.
- ebailey39625 September 2025The greatest sci-fi film of all time!!!!
- witty youngman15 September 2025The things they come up with. The 70s! I mean, a cat survived, and I know there are more Alien movies. I liked it, will be watching more.
