Alien Ratings & Reviews
- mentazm6 days agoA true sci-fi classic
- Mr. D31 March 2026Timeless classic.
- Desmond Dale24 January 2025Just the perfect horror and possibly my favorite Sci-Fi film ever. The pacing is masterful. Ridley stretches out each kill to its furthest point of tension. The biomechanical designs by Geiger are impossibly detailed and intricate. And it's just a film that has a slightly slow start but never steps crescendoing until it's very last minute.
- Zokkiie31 March 2026I watch this one every year, and it still hits me like the first time. Everything about it just works—the tension, the crew, the way it slowly drags you into this suffocating world. You feel every bit of stress and fear with them, and the pacing gives it room to breathe so the scary moments hit way harder. The design and atmosphere are next level—gritty, claustrophobic, and just plain unsettling. Even knowing what’s coming, I catch tiny details I hadn’t noticed before, and the creature… man, it’s still nightmare fuel. It’s rare for a movie to feel this alive, this sharp, and this terrifying, year after year.
- naren shenoy3 March 2026The original that started it all. The beauty of this movie, that gets lost in some of the newer iterations, is that this thing is terrifying. By Itself. There does not need to be a horde of xenomorphs. One will do. Very little screen time for our freaky friend, but like the wind, it’s presence seldom seen, but strongly felt. Any cinema fan should watch this, and frankly I’d be shocked if anyone older than a certain age has not seen this movie. One of the best ever.
- Johan Potgieter3 March 2026Still a good movie. The animatronics are a little dated but great for 1979. Amazing to think this movie is almost 50 years old. It was great to rewatch this classic.
- The Gutter Monkey23 February 2025We get Sigourney Weaver running around with a flameflower in the world's tiniest pair of panties. Need I say more?
- Otacon!24 February 2026I had seen this movie SO many times and I'm never bored. I'm direct by saying that not all the part are aged well but in VFX and some dialogue, BUT, it has almost 50 years! The tension that this movie make you feel with almost no action sequences is amazing. You can count the minutes of "alien on screen" time almost with one hand. It's amazing
- mdediego14 February 2026Alien, the first movie that put horror in space and created a franchise that still is alive today. A must see for everyone.
- Paul Walsh13 February 2026An absolute masterpiece of sci-fi horror. Ripley is a bad-ass and the xenomorph is a terrifying creation. Also, go Jonesy!
- Eric Bakke5 November 2024It’s a relentless, claustrophobic horror that mixes science fiction with pure terror. Once it gets cooking, almost every frame is soaked in tension.
- Uncle Aaron13 February 2026"I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies".
- Humpty20 February 2025DON'T LAY YOUR BABIES IN ME!
- Stuart Browne7 February 2026Brilliant film I've seen many times
- theprince5631 January 2026The atmosphere is Good overall, but the story doesn't hold up very good.
