- Charles London12 April 2025A rare case where the movie is better than the book. I read "A Night to Remember" for a book report back in high school. It was good but the movie is great. There is no fictional love story here as with "Titanic" (1997). This well-written and well-acted dramatization is based on factual accounts. Very engrossing, especially for history buffs who prefer to know what actually happened in well-chronicled detail. The events of the night of April 14-15, 1912, have fascinated generations for over a century. This movie is perfect for feeding that fascination and giving it the satisfaction it desires.
