Scanners have great psychic power, strong enough to control minds; they can inflict enormous pain/damage on their victims. Doctor Paul Ruth finds a scanner that Revok hasn't, and converts him to their cause - to destroy the underground movement.

First things first. The criterion upgrade of the film looked amazing. I couldn't believe how well it looked for a movie made in 1981. Now the movie. It was entertaining, weird, kinda poorly acted, and fun all mixed into one. I thought the concept was cool and believe I will like this more on a second viewing. When that dude's head blows up.... that was awesome!
