The Raid: Redemption

My quick rating - 7.5/10. (That was from when I watched this in Indonesian with subtitles. I now have a dubbed & uncut version that is eye-friendly, so I'll see if it changes). The story is quite simple. A corrupt police force is sent in to bust a paranoid crime lord's 30-story drug haven. I would love to say I noticed the differences in this uncut version, but I did watch it the first time about a decade ago, so there wasn't anything that jumped out at me. However, that didn't stop me from enjoying this exceptional action flick again. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the non-stop momentum of a flick. The martial arts scenes were choreographed to perfection, making all the fights visually a treat. I cannot single out any of the scenes or the actors since they are all top-notch. Both Iko Uwais and Joe Taslim went on from this to appear in quite a few solid flicks that I am sure you will recognize if you check their IMDB resumes. I'll keep it short since there are plenty of full-length reviews out there and just say it is a must-watch for sure. Rating didn't change.
