It's 2025 and 2001: A Space Odyssey is still the best looking movie I have ever seen.
I cannot imagine the experience of seeing this at the cinema for the first time in 1968.
They really don't make movies on a scale like this anymore. Every pixel was planned in a time before Pixels existed.
It can be a slow paced movie, for me it's just as much about what happens inside your head as what is happening on screen.
It's not for everyone - my girlfriend's review of this movie was "it wasn't for me"
But I am yet to experience another movie like 2001 again and I'm not sure I ever will.
Don't try and understand it - just experience it - try and understand it later
