Po dosažení věku třináct let nastává pro děti zásadní zlom, protože se začíná bezstarostný život teenagerů, který mnozí lidé nazývají nejkrásnějším obdobím života. Pro Maddie však znamenal věk 13 let úplně něco jiného. Přestala mluvit a ohluchla. V dospělosti je pro takové lidi velmi těžké najít zaměstnání, takže se Maddie uchýlila na samotu a stala se spisovatelkou. V blízkosti žijí její přátelé John a Sarah, kteří se s ní občas setkávají. Po jednom obyčejném setkání se Sarah se však před jejími dveřmi objeví neočekávaný host. Neznámý muž s maskou na obličeji a kuší v ruce se snaží dostat do jejího domu, přičemž je jasné, že se nejedná o žádnou přátelskou návštěvu.

This horror movie is one of the best I have seen by far. The story is so interesting, and everything makes sense. It has lots of plot twists/turns and it has an extreme satisfying ending. Most horror movies leave you wanting more. Like when the masked Killer finds out Sarah is actually deaf/mute and lives alone he makes up his mind to kill her. It is also very realistic and amazing job done by the actors! For only 5 characters this is a very amazing movie and I would definitely recommend this movie.
