Dragon Ball Z: Jakten på Garlic
In order to wish for immortality and avenge his father, Garlic Jr. collects the dragon balls, kidnapping Goku's son Gohan in the process. Goku, Kami, Piccolo, and Krillin unite to rescue Gohan and save the world from being sucked into a dead zone.

A non-canon entry into the beginning of Dragon Ball. Where Krillin some how knows who Gohan is, even though they have never met (They don't meet until the Saiyan Arc which comes after this movie and this movie comes right after Dragon Ball finishes). But was it any good? Yeah, it was decent.
The music is pretty good, the animation looks good for a 1989 movie and the voice acting is overall pretty good. The silly nature of this movie was great. Seeing Gohan bite into the tree's fruit and become drunk is just as unhinged as I wanted. This movie is definitely something! All the character names are hilarous puns and fit right in with the style of movie that this is.
The fight scenes were... subpar though. This is not a movie you watch for action, but for the humor and just to turn off your brain. It's a shame we never see Garlic Jr in another movie, because it would be interesting to see how he held up in his own Deaad Zone after an eternity.
Overall, this movie is just good. It's not great, it's not bad, it's just good. It's a starting movie for a series that just becomes bigger and and better. Definitely reccomend this for people who are fans of Dragon Ball (Z/Super/DAIMA).
