My quick rating - 3.5/10. One of those choices by length (70 minutes), I wasn't aware this was an anthology flick, but the idea of the scenes playing from the film festival they are viewing beginning to play out in real life in the theater does work. The first Banshee story was a bit bland, but it did work for a thrill when it interjected itself into the theater-going and did its job, introducing the method the stories will come to life for the audience. Second, Werewolf. The kid sneaks into the theater while the workers lock the place up. Third, Vampire, amusing little twist in that one. Quick Camp Blood reference, which you hopefully get. Fourth was your everyday monster under the bed with horrible effects and no story. Oh, and everyone in the theater is now zombies, minus the 2 initial characters. And a massively anti-climactic ending with possible sequel aspirations? No way. The idea itself did have promise with tying the fictional flix into what happens in the theater, but the writing team was not able to coherently bring the ideas together. Unfortunately, it really doesn't help that all aspects of this movie suffered from cheap production. Beyond the budget for effects, the acting was very subpar, giving us two main characters who are so bland that you really don't care what happens to them. The little plot points I mentioned end up undeveloped, so the kid has nearly nothing to do with it. It also doesn't give you much clarity to the plan in the first place that the theater owners have going. This is a very forgettable experience that you do not need to subject yourself to. That is my job. And free would be the amount you should pay to see it.
