Splatter Beach is a 2007 low-budget horror comedy film made by the prolific Polonia brothers. It was released on DVD by Camp Motion Pictures.Starring Erin Brown, Erika Smith, Alison Whitney, Brice Kennedy, Ken Van Sant and Dave Fife, Splatter Beach concerns a reporter who hopes to write a story on a series of disappearances that have plagued a local beach, and who finds instead a sea monster in full rubbery attire.

okay i genuinely had no idea that these guys just made like,,, a million movies like this, but i love that so much. i think it's important to give all horror schlock a fair chance because things like this are definitely made with a clear appreciation for the genre they're contributing to. not only is this a love letter to cheesy Man In A Suit horror films of the past (the Creature From The Black Lagoon influence is impossible to ignore), but it's also full of some solid jokes, awful (but delightful) gore, and a bunch of fun, original, beachy songs. and as always, bonus points for an animated opening credit sequence.
