An intro from Tony Todd tees this up like it’s an entry in the Tales from the Hood collection and emits VHS vibes throughout it’s presentation. Some of the sets look like their pre-rendered backdrops, artificially grainy and washed out. There interesting usage of different aspect ratios, side-by-sides, player card animations that all kind of feed into the 90’s era indy horror feel. Bitch Ass features a serial killer that bests his victims in deadly variations of classic board games. (errr, deadly variations of knock-offs of classic board games, because….you know….licensing). Still it’s a pretty entertaining marriage of the concept and presentation. Fun for what it is and I would be down if Tony Todd actually hosted a horror anthology series like this.
