Odd Thomas
Um jovem de uma pequena cidade rural da Califórnia tem uma habilidade especial: ver espíritos. E usa esse dom para resolver crimes e homicídios, por vezes com a ajuda da sua namorada e de um amigo, detective na Polícia. Mas ele fica seriamente apreensivo quando vê uma enorme quantidade de maus espíritos ao redor de um homem. Sabendo que eles costumam ser atraídos quando muita violência vai acontecer, ele decide investigar o homem e tentar impedir o que quer que seja que está na iminência de ocorrer.

This movie is good, though not quite as great as the book. It really should’ve been made into a series. That way, they wouldn’t have had to leave out so many important characters. That said, for a runtime of just an hour and forty minutes, they did a great job with the time they had. It feels like a mix between Stranger Things and the American version of Dirk Gently, but it actually predates both by about three years. Overall, it’s worth watching for the writing alone.
