Three backpackers travel into the Australian Outback only to find themselves stranded at Wolf Creek crater. Once there, they are encountered by a bushman, Mick Taylor, who offers them a ride back to his place. Little do the three know that their adventure into the Outback would be a complete nightmare after the backpackers find a way to escape.

I’m not normally a fan of slashers that take their sweet time getting to the killings, but something about this one felt like it was perfectly setting the mood. The picturesque Australian scenery certainly helps. I also think the fact that this is based on a true story didn’t actually have me as eager to witness some grisly murders. This is a mean little thriller though and I loved it.
