U-571

Submarino U-571
One of the more underappreciated movies of its time. The biggest crime this movie commits is using real vessel names for a completely fictional story. However, this is not a documentary, it is a work of fiction based on multiple war stories. It is in fact an action movie set in a submarine. Practical effects are much appreciated, albeit they may have affected the "historical accuracy" some people look for. However, if you accept this movie is a work of fiction, then it's just a fun ride all around.
Solid acting by McConaughey, Keitel and Paxton, with everyone else doing great job. I'm not sure why Bon Jovi got one of the top billings when he's barely in the movie.
