Season of the Witch

A 14th century Crusader returns with his comrade to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. The Church commands the two knights to transport a witch to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.
Not a Nick Cage fan at all, but sometimes I can handle him depending on the type of film. This is one of them and it's not a bad film. Not a blockbuster, not a must see, but for fans along this genre, it's worth a watch, in my opinion. Especially if you need a fix, like I usually do. I've watched this several times already and don't mind seeing it through each time. Acting is ok and cast is good. Effects are fine and the story is there, even though is feels a little short. Give it a shot if you haven't, and give it a chance if you're not a nick cage fan. I gave him a chance because of the genre. Thankfully I wasn't disappointed. Just don't go into this thinking it's a masterpiece :) If anything it reminds you of the terrible choices christians made in the past choosing to kill rather than let people be ;)
