I’m an old Gen-X dude who hit play on Hurry Up Tomorrow not knowing what I was getting into. Right off the bat I’m thinking, “What the hell kind of music is this?” Then, “What kind of movie is this?” and “What’s even going on here?”
But I noticed Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan early on—both excellent actors—and that probably kept me watching when I might’ve bailed. The whole thing felt a bit all over the place, but somehow it kept me engaged.
By the end, I realized I’d watched the whole thing. Not bad, really. The Weeknd held his own—definitely better than I expected.
