I can't imagine what this must have been like to experience in 1974. Watching in 2025, all I can see is the legacy of this movie over the last fifty years. I saw, in TCM, the formula for "hills have eyes", for "hostel", "nightmare on elm Street" and more. The simple story and concept was just so well executed and real in horror. A classic, not to be overlooked.
