An intriguing story which falls short of being something really good, but it's still very enjoyable.
While everything is made quite well it becomes pretty clear that this movie doesn't leave a whole lot to the imagination, the viewer is basically being carried through everything, which is something I'm struggling to enjoy in horror movies. That's why I'd rather categorize this as bloody mystery. It's light to watch, the fear of the unknown is not very present, and the story is more about a struggle to get to the goal instead of finding out what the goal even is.
The facial expressions in the acting are sometimes a bit too excessive, which is a shame because that's rarely the case, but often enough to break the immersion.
The story has potential, but some parts do not make sense and it feels like they're being justified with "you don't need to know, she's a psychic so just accept it". Which plays into what I meant when I said earlier that it's not about finding the goal, but getting to it.
It's not a bad movie per se, it's still worth a watch. It's just that the feeling of dread never comes up.
