“Texas Cyclone” is a B-Western built around mistaken identity, with Tim McCoy playing a near-mythic cowboy and John Wayne in a supporting role as his loyal sidekick. It’s stagey and straightforward, with a touch of noir-style deception in the plot. For John Wayne fans, it’s a fun curiosity. For others, it’s more of a time capsule than a classic.
