Police Woman

Police Woman
Follows Sergeant "Pepper" Anderson, LAPD's top undercover cop. A member of the Criminal Conspiracy Unit, Pepper works the wild side of the street, where she poses as everything from a gangster's moll to a streetwalker to a prison inmate.
First off, Angie Dickenson is one of the sexiest women that ever graced the screen. I mean that in the unperverted way possible. She is beautiful, sexy, tough and a great actress that came into this gig with plenty of experience. She's the number one reason this show was cool and such a success. Some of the other reasons are the writing of course and the fact that a woman, for the 1st time I can think of, was the lead and main focus of a police drama at a time when television was saturated with cop shows. This was their hook that made Police Woman different and exciting. They needed a strong, hot female lead and Dickenson more than fit the bill. She had a great supporting cast too, although I feel Earl Holliman never quite fit as the male lead. Nonetheless a great 70's cop show.
