Nadat zij hebben ontdekt dat zij afstammen van een lange lijn heksen, moeten drie zussen de strijd opnemen tegen demonen en tovenaars - en soms zelfs tegen elkaar. Wanneer de mooie zusjes Halliwell het huis van hun grootmoeder erven en een geheim boek met de titel "Book of Shadows" vinden, ontdekken zij dat ieder van hen een unieke kracht bezit. De wilskrachtige Prue (Shannen Doherty) kan voorwerpen verplaatsen, de terughoudende Piper (Holly Marie Combs) kan de tijd stopzetten en de impulsieve Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) kan in de toekomst kijken. Elk afzonderlijk zijn zij sterk, maar zij kunnen alleen onschuldige mensen beschermen en het kwaad overwinnen als ze hun meningsverschillen opzij zetten en zich verenigen tot de "Power of Three".

Hadn't watched this since it originally aired...Charmed surprisingly holds up even all this time later. Usually not into the demon/monster genre (hated Buffy and Angel), but there is something really fun about this show. They showcased a lot of practical effects and impressive early CG stuff and there are many recognizable guest stars that ended up in other popular shows. it's like Goosebumps but for adults. Guilty pleasure. Worth a watch!
