在一场名为“五张王牌”的豪赌中，一名赌徒因作弊被抓，愤怒的对手们私自对他施以了残酷的绞刑。然而，正义（或是复仇）并未就此止步。不久后，当初参与那场私刑的成员们开始一个接一个地被杀害，而且每个人都被吊死在绞索之上。随着恐怖氛围在镇上蔓延，幸存的赌客们在惊恐中互相猜忌：究竟是死者的冤魂回归，还是在他们这群人中，隐藏着一个疯狂的索命判官？
