Seabiscuit

Seabiscuit
True story of the undersized Depression-era racehorse whose victories lifted not only the spirits of the team behind it but also those of their nation.

Moving and inspiring, masterfully produced. This one is very high on my list of best sports movies ever made. It features wonderful wide-screen cinematography and some incredibly well-photographed racing sequences. The acting is spot on and the story extends well beyond horse racing as it delves deep into the character of the men who made Seabiscuit a national hero.
Flawed and broken, but resilient and determined (the equine and human characters alike). This movie settles the argument: "Horses are people too, y'know!"
