Echo Valley
Julianne Moore hraje Kate, jejíž osamělý život naruší problémová dcera, která se objeví vyděšená a potřísněná cizí krví. Kate odhaluje šokující pravdu a přitom zjišťuje, jak daleko je kvůli svému dítěti ochotná zajít.
This movie is a twisted take on the “clean and sober” story we often see. However, it does ask very complex questions for those deep in substance abuse. When is enough, enough? When does unconditional love and support stop? When am I enabling and actually helping to cause the problem? This are complex questions no loved one should have to answer or ask… but must. The story was engaging…if not infuriating at times. Additionally, the ending was perfect for the movie but left the viewer unsatisfied…yet, this is often the case when dealing with addiction. Julianne Moore is brilliant as always. The supporting cast- everyone else- does a fine job. Some of the relationships and complexities could have benefited from more development but when Mrs. Moore is on the screen the viewer is fully engaged.
