Een groep vrienden downloadt een 'Siri-achtige app, die in eerste instantie op onschuldige wijze restaurantaanbevelingen lijkt te geven. De sinistere aard van de app openbaart zich echter snel. De app kent niet alleen de de grootste angsten van elke persoon, maar is ook in staat om die angsten in de echte wereld te manifesteren en iedereen letterlijk doodsbang maken. Eén meisje overleeft het, maar wat als de app viraal gaat?

My quick rating - 4.5/10. Another in the line of installing this app, and it'll kill you. This one has little explanation of where the app comes from, well, in a logical sense. They just more or less mention the time frame and seem to forget to relate it to anything. Since the app seems to target the user's fears, apparently, the majority of characters in this flick don't like clowns. I am always up for scary clowns, heck, they even treated us to a red balloon, but this was no Pennywise. Had its moments, and they were really striving for jump scares, so if it is dark and loud, it'll catch you a few times. Overall, though, the plot is a joke, and the acting is fairly bad. Par for the course, really, but I have seen far worse.
