Django

Django
Django Reinhardt was one of the most brilliant pioneers of European jazz and the father of Gypsy Swing. "Django" grippingly portrays one chapter in the musician's eventful life and is a poignant tale of survival. Constant danger, flight, and the atrocities committed against his family could not make him stop playing.
While the film was probably an accurate portrayal of a very interesting and influential musician, it was pretty boring to watch. Other bionics like Walk the Line and Tina
Turner's story were presented in a much more interesting way. Having said that, I found the film educational and glad I made the effort to stay with it but it was hard work.
